Save the date, months before the invitation

A save-the-date goes out early — often months ahead — so guests can book travel and hold the day. It needs to be short: your names, the date, the city, and a way to put it straight into a calendar. This card does exactly that, with an optional countdown so the date stays in mind.

Because save-the-date uses the same sixteen designs as the wedding, the later invitation can look like a continuation of this one rather than a new card. You can also turn on RSVPs if you want an early idea of who plans to come.

Frequently asked questions

How early should a save-the-date go out?

Commonly six to eight months before the wedding, and earlier for a destination wedding or when many guests travel from abroad.

Can guests add it to their calendar?

Yes. Add the date and time and the card shows an Add to calendar button; with a venue or address it also shows a map link.
